Biography

Dr. Jackie Dozier Zimmerman was born and raised in Abilene. She graduated from Abilene High and went on to receive her bachelor’s degree at The University of Texas at Austin. She earned her medical degree at Midwestern University’s Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her OB/GYN residency at Baylor/Scott & White Medical Center.

Dr. Zimmerman is board certified in Ob/Gyn by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG), a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), and certified in the fundamentals of laparoscopic surgery (FLS). She is a member of the Texas Medical Association (TMA) and Big Country Medical Society (BCCMS). She has received a Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine (SMFM) award for excellence in obstetric care and is recognized as a member of the Sigma Sigma Phi Honor Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She is passionate about women’s health and wellness and wants her patients to feel empowered to be the best version of themselves throughout all aspects of life— from adolescence to motherhood to menopause.

Dr. Zimmerman resides in Abilene with her husband, Andy, and their two daughters, Blakely and Drew. She is involved in her church and enjoys spending time with family and friends. She loves traveling and cheering on the Texas Longhorns.
